Kristina Amanda Simcox (Kristy), a light that nothing on this earth could diminish, passed away peacefully, into the arms of Jesus, on November 2, 2025, at the age of 40, after courageously battling cancer for eight years. She was born Kristina Amanda Rickert, on May 31, 1985, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Wayne and Patricia Rickert.
Everyone who met Kristy was profoundly touched by her radiant presence. She was beautiful, caring, authentic, gracious, and humble, and she truly reflected her deep faith to all she encountered. Kristy saw everyone as an image bearer of the Lord, and her greatest hope was that they would recognize that sacred truth in themselves as well. Her love was not merely spoken; it was felt, lived, and breathed into every life she touched.
A faithful member of Living Hope Community Church, Kristy poured her heart into helping design both church buildings, creating spaces where guests could encounter Jesus. She also led the prayer team from April 2022 until the fall of 2024. Beyond her unwavering devotion to her family and faith, Kristy was a talented interior designer, a gifted singer whose voice brought joy to many, and a dedicated wedding coordinator who especially loved helping brides create lasting memories of their dreams. She found immense joy in hiking, camping, beach days, and traveling, always seeking beauty in God’s creation.
Most importantly, Kristy was a devoted wife and mother whose deepest desire was to see her two precious sons grow in the faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Even as cancer threatened to steal her strength, Kristy fought with remarkable courage and determination, leaving no stone unturned in her pursuit to heal. She was a devoted follower of Jesus, and now, after a life lived with purpose and love, she has departed this world to be with her Savior in heaven, where there is no more pain, no more tears—only eternal joy.
Kristy leaves behind a heartbroken but grateful community of devoted family and friends: her loving husband, Cole, and their two beloved sons, Myles (12) and Morgan (8), who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her parents, Wayne and Patricia Rickert; her brothers, Gregg and Geoff; and her sister, Alisha Ciavardone. She leaves behind a large, loving extended family, including five brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, and seventeen nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever cherish her memory and carry her legacy of faith, hope, and love.
Kristy’s wish was that her two boys would receive a Christ-centered education.
